This 71,000 square foot, 500 boat facility is capable of storing
over 40 feet in length in a galvanized rack system that is five
levels high .We
have designed a tremendous amount of flexibility into this building.
With an eave height of 44 feet, Marina Shores can comfortably
store high profile boats 4 levels high or lower profile boats
5 levels high along the sidewall racks. One sidewall of the
building was offset by 10 feet. This provided a wider fork truck
aisle in part of the building for the storage of much longer
boats. We utilized doublewide bays throughout the building and
varied the bay widths so that the cubic volume of the building
could be better utilized. |

The
building is 270 feet long and is 270 feet wide at the water
edge, while being 260 wide at the rear of the building. The
double sliding, bottom rolling doors are 30 feet wide by 30
feet high, We installed a band of translucent wall panels that
are 10 feet high around the entire buiding. This ensured that
ample natural light enters this building, making visibility
for the fork truck operator a little clearer. |
